Second prize in the "1st International Postal Art and Correspondences" in Saint Paul de Vence, South of France - 2016

Me parece importante contarles sobre mi participación en el año 2016 en el "1° Concurso Internacional de Arte Postal y Correspondencias" organizado por el Círculo de Artistas de Saint Paul de Vence, en el sur de Francia. Allí obtuve el segundo premio y fui digno de una enorme alegría. Saint Paul de Vence es un pequeño pueblo con una tradición artística moderna muy importante, pues allí vivió Chagall, y además contó con las visitas recurrentes de Picasso, Matisse, Miró y otros grandes, sobre todo en el Restaurante - Hotel "La Colombe d´Or", donde los artistas intercambiaban su estancia en el lugar por cuadros de su autoría. Hoy en día todas las obras están allí para que puedan ser apreciadas por los visitantes. El Arte Correo fue la excusa para compartir con colegas de todas partes del mundo, y en este caso además fui premiado por el jurado local. Las obras ganadoras estuvieron en exposición para todo el pueblo durante aquel año en el lugar. Sin dudas ha sido una experiencia inolvidable y muy significativa para mí. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// It seems important to me to tell you about my participation in 2016 in the "1st International Competition of Postal Art and Correspondences" organized by the Circle of Artists of Saint Paul de Vence, in the south of France. There I obtained the second prize and I was worthy of enormous joy. Saint Paul de Vence is a small town with a very important modern artistic tradition, since Chagall lived there, and also had recurring visits from Picasso, Matisse, Miró and other greats, especially in the Restaurant - Hotel "La Colombe d' Or", where the artists exchanged their stay in the place for paintings of their own. Today all the works are there so that they can be appreciated by visitors. Postal Art was the excuse to share with colleagues from all over the world, and in this case I was also awarded by the jury. The winning works were on exhibition for the local people during that year in the place. Without a doubt, it has been an unforgettable and very significant experience for me.
