"Masters of Blues" - Series of Drawings

Ésta vez no se trata de pinturas, sino de dibujos a trazo rápido. Les presento la Serie "Masters of Blues, Drawings", basada en grandes talentos del blues (algunos de ellos olvidados por el público), raíces personales en lo musical, y que también tienen que ver con la historia de los Rolling Stones.
Espero les guste ésta nueva faceta de mi arte.

This time it's not about paintings, but about quick-stroke drawings. In this case I present to you the Series "Masters of Blues, Drawings", based on great blues talents (some of them forgotten by the public), personal roots in the musical, and that also have to do with the history of the Rolling Stones.

10 años del blog / 10th Anniversary´s blog

Hace 10 años, en invierno de 2010, comencé con mi propio emprendimiento, pintando y compartiendo arte, referido a los Rolling Stones. 

Así nació este blogspot inicial. Tratando acuarelas y tinta china, pluma y pinceles. Mundial mediante, Sudáfrica, vaya recuerdo para nosotros los uruguayos!
Hoy el blog celebra su aniversario, con más de 30900 visitas desde todas partes del planeta e importando arte para países como Francia, Italia, España, Inglaterra, Chile, Brasil, Argentina y dejando algunas también en el Uruguay.
Lo más destacado fue haber enviado una de mis más importantes obras, directamente a manos de un Rolling Stone, el bajista de la banda, Bill Wyman.
También hice grandes amigos y tuve historias increíbles, entre ellas, la visita de un fan argentino con una pintura de mi autoría estampada en una remera, a la tumba de Brian Jones, en Cheltenham, Inglaterra.
La música de los más grandes, y sus raíces de Chicago y Delta, siguen en vidriera por el mundo virtual.
A modo de homenaje, celebro con estas piezas encuadradas en Francia (son sólo algunas), en la colección privada de "HMN", entre un océano de preciados y exclusivos ítems relacionados a la majestuosa banda británica.
Desde este pequeño pueblo uruguayo, Ciudad de Rocha, para el mundo.

10 years ago, in the winter of 2010, I started my own way, painting and sharing art, referring to the Rolling Stones.
So this initial blogspot was born. Treating watercolors and China ink, pen and brushes. World Cup through, South Africa, what a memory for us Uruguayans!
Today the blog celebrates its anniversary, with more than 30,900 visits from all over the planet and importing art for countries such as France, Italy, Spain, England, Chile, Brazil, Argentina and leaving some also here in Uruguay.
The highlight was having sent one of my most important works, directly to a Rolling Stone, the bassist Bill Wyman.
I also made great friends and had incredible stories, including the visit of an Argentine fan with a painting of my authorship stamped on a T-shirt, to the grave of Brian Jones, in Cheltenham, England.
The music of the greatest, and its roots in Chicago and Delta, are still on display in the virtual world.
As a tribute, I celebrate with these pieces framed in France, in the private collection of "HMN", among an ocean of precious and exclusive items related to the majestic British band.
From this small Uruguayan town, Ciudad de Rocha, to the world.

"Puajing The Way"

50 años atrás, en Londres (UK), UN 12 de Julio de 1962, salian unos desconocidos jóvenes a tocar blues en las húmedas instalaciones del Marquee Club. Nadie podía imaginar que aquello era nada más ni nada menos que el nido gestor de una revolución que ha crecido y mutado a lo largo de medio siglo de aventuras hasta nuestros dias.
La suerte ya estaba hechada... desde aquel momento ya nada sería igual.
Los Rolling Stones harían de las suyas escupiendo incluso su propia historia, la historia de sus días, la historia universal, viviendo juntos durante cincuenta años, cinco décadas de rock&roll amenazando nuestras inofensivas almas con la música más sagrada y el espíritu más rebelde que se pueda imaginar jamás.
Es éste mi humilde homenaje a la banda de rock más gigante de todo el planeta, la banda que cambió mi vida, que despertó todo mi interés y me empujó a hacer música, inspirándome un 100% en mi orientación artística. Toda mi admiración yace en esas fabulosas cabezas, en las piedras que más han rodado no sólo por los caminos de ensueño que presagian paraísos, sino también por las pasarelas de lo prohibido, donde muchos entraron y pasearon pero nadie resultó salir vivo.  Nadie, salvo ellos.
En fin, "Escupiendo el camino" es una extraña composición en gran tamaño donde un collage de viejos recortes de diarios (fotocopias) se entremezclan entre sí creando la atmósfera ideal para superponer encima a sus propios creadores.
La formación inicial luce firme y siniestra en el ángulo inferior derecho (no en el centro), con sus intimadores rostros en tinta negra y roja, formados por los nómades e inquietantes trazos del rock&roll, desparramados sin una dirección establecida y sus bélicas miradas acribillando a todo aquel que decida hechárles el ojo. A pesar de la ausencia física de Brian Jones desde su muerte en 1969, en ésta pintura ellos están inmortalizados en el presente. Hoy es HOY. Lo único que es pasado son los recortes de diario, esos pedazitos de camino transcurrido, ya pisado, que ahora sólo sirven como elementos decorativos que eluden un tormentoso y alegre pasado vivido.
En el ángulo superior izquierdo se puede ver un enorme escupitajo, pintado detalladamente a mano, impregnado en esa laboriosa alegoría del pasado. Allí ese elemento juega un importante papel que se impone en la atmósfera de retazos ya vividos, de diarios de ayer. Puede ser chocante verlo alli colgando, imponiéndose emperador de esas tierras del pasado. Representa la firmeza del presente, la pegajosa baba expulsada desde aquella lengua, ícono Pop creado por John Pasche.
¿Siente usted asco?. Me encantaría que por unos segundos así fuera.
¿Quién quiere los diarios de ayer?. Nadie en el mundo.
Los Stones siguen escupiendo el camino, y hoy están escupiendo medio siglo, están bombardeando la historia, festejando en la cima... y van por más !

 50 years ago in London (UK), a July 12, 1962, five unidentified youths came to play blues on the wet stage of the Marquee Club. Nobody could imagine that this was nothing more nor less than the nest operator of a revolution that has grown and mutated over half a century of adventures to this day.
The currency had been cast ... since that time nothing would be the same.
The Rolling Stones would make his own way spitting even his own story, the story of her life, the history of the world, living together for fifty years, five decades of rock & roll threatening our harmless souls with the most sacred music and the most rebel spirit who can ever imagine.
This is my humble tribute to the most giant rock band around the planet, the band that changed my life, which aroused my interest and encouraged me to make music, inspiring 100% in my artistic direction.
All my admiration focuses on those great heads, on the stones that have rolled over not only by the floral and heavenly landscapes of the Bible, but also by the catwalks of the forbidden, where many came in and walked out but no one was alive. No one except them...
In short, "Puajing the way" is a strange composition in big size where a large collage of old newspaper clippings (photocopies) are mixed together creating the ideal atmosphere to superimpose over their own creators.
The initial team looks firm and left in the lower right corner (not center), with their heavy faces in black and red ink, made by the nomads and disturbing traces of rock & roll, scattered without a set course and war  looks peppered anyone who decides to put an eye. Despite the physical absence of Brian Jones since his death in 1969, this painting they are immortalized in the present.
Today is TODAY. All that is past are the newspaper clippings, those little chunks of road passed, and walked on, now only serve as decorative elements that elude a stormy and joyful past living.
In the upper left corner you can see a huge spit (PUAJ), hand painted, dipped in this laborious allegory of the past. Here that element plays an important role imposing into the atmosphere of "Yesterday´s papers". It may be shocking to see him hanging there, imposing as a Emperor of the land of the past.
Represents the strength of the present, the sticky slime ejected from that
tongue, Pop icon created by John Pasche.
Do you feel revulsion?. I would love it for a few seconds so.
Who wants yesterday´s papers ?. Nobody in the world...
The Stones are still spitting out the way, and today are spitting half a Century, are bombarding the History, celebrating at the top ... and go for more!
