This is my new Serie of Paintings, an homage to the glorious "godfathers" of the Blues, the founders of a lot of musical styles that would shortly begin to flourish. These bluesmen are the true seed of the Rock & Roll.

Also, they were a direct and important influence on the own "The Rolling Stones".

"Exile on Main Dentist" ha sido adquirida recientemente por Leo, en Montevideo (Uruguay).

Quisiera mencionar que justamente Leo fue quien hace unos 5 años me conoció y pidió que pinte algunas banderas de su querido "Montevideo Wanderers Fútbol Club". Fueron algunos de mis primeros trabajos de pintura en tela, y hoy en día lucen radiantes en la tribuna "Bohemia" durante cada partido.

"Exile on Main Dentist" was recently purchased by Leo, in Montevideo (Uruguay).

I should mention that Leo was just about 5 years ago who knew and asked me to paint some flags of their beloved "Montevideo Wanderers Fútbol Club".

Were some of my first paintings on canvas, and now look radiant in the "Bohemio" forum during each game.

AMAZING! "Cosmic Christmas" is going to Bill Wyman, legendary bassist of The Rolling Stones

Todo comenzó a fines del año pasado (2010) cuando me decidí a probar suerte y enviar un correo electrónico a la dirección publicada en el sitio oficial de Bill Wyman, (http://www.billwyman.com/).

Mis intenciones fueron muy claras. Mostrar mis pinturas y esperar una "utópica" posible respuesta haciéndole saber de la existencia de mi blogspot, mi dedicación y amor por los Rolling Stones y por sobre todo mi interés de enviarle alguna de mis obras.

Pasaron 2 meses hasta que sorpresivamente un mail apareció en mi casilla.

Éste entre otras cosas decía:

"Hola Fabio, tus pinturas me gustan mucho, son muy originales y me encantaría tener alguna para mi colección. Si tu lo deseas podrías enviarme a la siguiente dirección (...) Yo estaría encantado de recibirlo de tu parte".

Redactado en primera persona !

Ahora mi última y más trabajada pieza ("Cosmic Christmas"), partió a manos del mítico bajista de los Rolling Stones.

Ésta ha sido una experiencia maravillosa... desde algún rincón de la pequeña ciudad de Rocha (Este del Uruguay) y sin ningún tipo de intermediario llegar a un contacto e intercambio directo nada más ni nada menos que con un Rolling Stone.

It all started late last year (2010 when I decided to try my luck and send an email tothe address published on the official website of Bill Wyman (http://www.billwyman.com/).

My intentions were really clear. Show my paintings and wait for a "utopian " possible answer informing him of the existence of my blogspot, my dedication and love for the Rolling Stones and above my interest to send any of my works.

Spent 2 months until suddenly an email appeared in my mailbox.

This among other things said:

"Hello Fabio, I really like your paintings; it is so original that I would love to have it for my collection.If you would like to send it to me – here is the address:- (...) I would be delighted to receive it from you. Many thanks in advance. Bill Wyman".

Written in first person ! That was the most exciting of all !

Now my last and best worked piece ("Cosmic Christmas") is going to the hands of the legendary bassist of the Rolling Stones.

This has been the most wonderful experience I had in my life ... from any corner of the small Rocha City (east of Uruguay) and without any intermediary involved, get contact and directly exchange nothing more and nothing less than a Rolling Stone.

Esta es mi reciente pintura llamada "The Last Time". Basada en una grandiosa foto de P.Townshend,

Son los Stones en plenos 60´s. Con aquella atmósfera inglesa empapada en suburbios.

Puede interpretarse de diferentes maneras, por lo tanto va a tener un significado especial para cada uno de ustedes.

Ha sido un muy duro trabajo, y he utilizado diversas técnicas de arquitectura para poder realizar muchos de los trazos que pueden observar.

"The Last Time"

This is my recent painting called "The Last Time".

Based on a great photo of P. Townshend, I have expressed in this work a very interesting allegory about the departure from the band and life of the legendary guitarist and pioneer Brian Jones.

Are the Stones in full 60's. With that English atmosphere steeped in suburbs.

It can be interpreted in different ways, therefore will have a special meaning for each one of you.

I should mention that the car appears in the picture ... but the occupant ever seen.

It was a very hard work, and have used various techniques of architecture to perform many of the traces  which can be observed.
